TLDR – What’s The Verdict On Practical Programmatic SEO?
Practical Programmatic SEO is a program that teaches you about the ins and outs of building websites powered by… you guessed it, programmatic SEO.
It’s ran by a guy named Ian Nuttall, and he says that this can help a number of different sites out there that are trying to drive traffic toward them.
Whether it’s an affiliate product review site, a lead generation rank and rent model, or just about anything you could think of, programmatic SEO lets you nearly automate your SEO work…
…well, at least that’s what Ian says.
He claims that you can get into this with little to no code knowledge, but it does seem like there’s more work here than meets the eye.
When you’re getting into something new, you shouldn’t be figuring out ways that you can do the bare minimum and get by. You need to be thinking big and trying to master every element of it!
So, if there are people out there who know how to code and develop websites who are using this method, they automatically have the advantage over you if you don’t have any ability to manually create your own SEO work.
If you’re gonna go down the lead generation path, you should do it right.
SEO is fantastic and a great way to save on costs and build more sustainable leads, but any new business that ignores paid ads or other ways of driving traffic is limiting its ability to grow.
And if it’s financial freedom you’re after, Digital Leasing is head and shoulders above the competition.
That means you can learn the whole package instead of just a fraction of what you need to know.
Do you know what kind of product could be considered “recession-proof“?
Customers.
No one ever gets sick of more profits, so your investments are safe, and you can do it all from the comfort of your own home while spending time with family and friends.
Their students seem extremely passionate about what they’re doing – not just getting by, but creating their own future.
Now, if you’d like to hear more about my Ian Nuttall review, then let’s get back to it.
Who Benefits From Practical Programmatic SEO…And Who Is It Wrong For?
Area | Score | Description |
---|---|---|
Time Investment | 2/5 | Lots to learn if you’re brand new to this world. |
Level of Control | 2/5 | Algorithms are constantly shifting. |
Ease of Implementation | 1/5 | Easy if you’re a web developer, otherwise pretty tricky. |
Profit Potential | 3/5 | SEO is a great method of marketing, but is best paired with other tactics. |
Sometimes you find a great program, but then all the coaches are awful. Other times, you find a really engaging mentor…but then it turns out there’s really no way to make money with their business model.
It can be tricky out there!
But this program might be for you if…
- You’ve got a background in web development
- You don’t need rejection
- Having a British guru makes you feel smarter
On the other hand, it probably doesn’t make sense to join up if…
- You like a solid refund policy
- You’re after more than just programmatic SEO
- This coding stuff sounds too tedious for you

Practical Programmatic SEO At A 1,000 FT View
PPS uses the programmatic SEO business model, as you probably gathered from the title of the course!
This is a way for bloggers, developers, and business owners to somewhat automate their marketing process. They basically run some code that can drive certain keywords onto their page that will pull in visitors from around the Internet.
It’s a pretty good idea, although I will say that it is for the geekier folks out there.
Some people are all about ideas, or they know how to close a high ticket sale. But those folks might not necessarily be great at writing code or working on the back end of these sort of things.
That’s something to keep in mind if you’re going to use this business model, and you also should understand that you are missing out on things like paid ads and generally working on social media and Google ranks.
I think this angle of digital marketing is good, but it’s best used in combination with a more well-rounded skillset.
It can be risky to limit yourself.
Think about it, you probably wanna provide some good money for your family, but you also wanna make sure you’re spending time with them more often, right?
Life is short, so you wanna make sure you’re not wasting it on things that don’t matter. A strong start in the local lead generation game can get you where you need to be!
Who Is Ian Nuttall?
Ian Nuttallis a British entrepreneur who specializes in programmatic SEO.
He’s made some good progress in the field, and has been in the SEO game in general since 2006.
It seems to me that this kind of experience makes him a worthwhile listen for the geeks out there, although there is not a ton of information about him other than all that.
You can find him on X (formerly Twitter) if you want to see some more of his opinions on the world.
How Much Does Practical Programmatic SEO Cost?
The Practical Programmatic SEO cost is only $197, which is a pretty good deal by itself. Just understand that there are often other fees and costs associated with the tools you’ll be using.
Personal Opinion On Practical Programmatic SEO
So…how do we find the right course for you?
- Make sure you get along with the guru
- Think about doing this forever
- Ask yourself if this is the best investment of your time and money
This course has a decent premise, but I do see a few red flags.
To be fair, here’s 3 things I like about PPS:
- SEO is a great way to keep costs down
- Automation sounds nice
- Ian has been in the SEO game since 2006
…and, in all fairness, here are 3 things I don’t really like:
- Ian is trying to sell the course
- Limits you to one kind of marketing
- Can use very complex web developer language
Is There A Practical Programmatic SEO Scam Going On Here?

“Practical Programmatic SEO scam” shows up a lot when you look up this course.
…but does that mean Ian Nuttall is running a scam?
I definitely do not think so.
I think you’re going to get a decent amount of information about all this from Ian…
…but the question is just how long he’s going to remain the guru of this program.
Ian posted on X in June 2024 that he is actively looking to sell the program, which is concerning since one of the main attractions is his clear experience in the field.
This is something you should probably keep in mind if you’re considering joining the PPS course, as it may result in a drop-off in mentorship.
The other problem with it is that you’ll only be learning one side of marketing, add not knowing anything about paid ads at all.
Personally, I gotta keep recommending Digital Leasing instead.
Who knows? Maybe a few of your clients even tell a few of their friends and your empire grows even bigger.
What’s Inside Practical Programmatic SEO?

- An experienced guru in Ian Nuttall
- Slick website design
Conclusion Of My Practical Programmatic SEO Review
So, should you dive all in with Ian Nuttall?
I wouldn’t.
He seems like a nice enough guru who knows his way around the SEO world, but it also sounds like he is actively shopping and selling this program.
That means you won’t have his knowledge anymore, and you’ll be stuck with a limited niche. It’s best if you can find a course that offers you the complete skill set required to become an effective digital marketer.
Instead, you need to get yourself a well-rounded program that has everything you need—a one-stop shop for success!
