TLDR – What’s The Verdict On Neptune Design?
Neptune Design is a program operated by a guy who is based out of South Africa, Devon Thomas. It seems like this website is super specialized within the world of Google Ads.
Devon claims to know the ins and outs of what it will take to help you maximize the money you’re investing in your PPC (pay per click) marketing campaign. He’s been doing this for a while now, so there is reason to believe that he knows what he’s talking about.
I like that he’s transparent with his pricing for the most part, although you may notice that he says “from” a certain price point, not specifying that it is the actual number.
I will say that I really like Devon’s website, as it’s pretty slick and easy to navigate. Some of these gurus only have one page with very little information, or it looks like it was designed with a Windows 95 computer.
The course seems to be OK, and there is one-on-one coaching available for an additional fee. The weird part to me is the high monthly fees you have to pay if you want to be involved in his online support community. Usually that kind of thing comes along with payment for a course or coaching.
I think that if you only want to learn how to use paid ads, this is far from the worst option out there.
However, there’s a whole other side to digital marketing that Devon leaves out here. Search engine optimization doesn’t have as quick of a boost as paid ads, but it doesn’t drain your wallet at all, and its leads are more sustainable long-term.
It’s an important tool to have as you launch your marketing enterprise, so this might be something for you to think about.
But on the other hand…
Do you know what kind of product could be considered “recession-proof“?
Customers.
No one ever gets sick of more profits, so your investments are safe, and you can do it all from the comfort of your own home, while spending time with family and friends.
Their students seem extremely passionate about what they’re doing – not just getting by, but creating their own future.
Now, if you’d like to hear more about my Devon Thomas review, then let’s get back to it.
Who Benefits From Neptune Design…And Who Is It Wrong For?
Area | Score | Description |
---|---|---|
Time Investment | 4/5 | Google Ads usually helps speed things up. |
Level of Control | 4/5 | Depends on how Google’s algorithm is working, |
Ease of Implementation | 3/5 | Helps to learn SEO, which is not taught here. |
Profit Potential | 3/5 | On the right track, but needs more focus on lead generation. |
Sometimes you find a great program, but then all the coaches are awful. Other times, you find a really engaging mentor…but then it turns out there’s really no way to make money with their business model.
It can be tricky out there!
But Devon Thomas’ program might be for you if…
- You really wanna specialize in Google Ads
- You’re from South Africa and feel a connection
- You appreciate his price transparency
On the other hand, it probably doesn’t make sense to join up if…
- You’d like to learn more about SEO
- You have concerns about the lack of authentic student reviews
- The community fees are too high

Neptune Design At A 1,000 FT View
The Neptune Design business model is centered around the pay per click Google ads business model. This is also known as paid ads in general, and it’s a solid way to get a company’s marketing presence ramped up quickly in a short period of time.
PPC can be a great way to get clicks either on your own company, or to help boost a business that is paying you to market for them.
It basically works by you paying Google to sponsor ads that lead to whatever website you’re pushing. A big part of the trick is minimizing your expenses.
For example, if you want to get ranked for the keyword “automobiles,” it’s going to cost you a lot of money. However, if you niche down and write something like “used automobile in Topeka, Kansas,” then that’s going to save you a bunch of money and also get way more relevant leads for your site.
I think this is a critical tool, but it shouldn’t be the only thing you rely on when you’re building up a business or ranking a website. SEO is just as important, since it limits expenses and can lead to the most sustainable traffic long term.
You don’t wanna add unnecessary risk to your life.
Think about it, you probably wanna provide some good money for your family, but you also wanna make sure you’re spending time with them more often, right?
Life is short, so you wanna make sure you’re not wasting it on things that don’t matter. A strong start in the local lead generation game can get you where you need to be!
Who Is Devon Thomas?
Devon Thomas is a digital marketing guru who seems to have built his Neptune design enterprise out of his house in South Africa.
He started up this business back in 2017, appearing to have some kind of web design background. It’s not clear what exactly he did for most of his adult life up until that point, but it seems like this is the path he intends to make his living by from here on out.
He has been featured as a guest speaker at the Vienna University of Economics and Business, which is pretty cool!
Devon seems like a generally high-intensity individual who posts often on social media.
How Much Does Neptune Design Cost?
The Neptune Design cost has several different options depending on what you’re after:
- $9 for Devon’s PDF “cheat sheet” intro offer
- 1-on-1 coaching starting at $350
- Starting at $649 – Profitable PPC Google Ads course
- $199 per month Feedback Cycle
- Done For You starting at $15,000
You might notice that Devon uses a lot of vague language like “starting from” when he’s talking about his prices. So, while I appreciate some of the transparency compared to other gurus, he is still apparently hiding some of the actual costs.
Personal Opinion On Neptune Design
So…how do we find the right course for you?
- Determine if the guru is a solid fit for you
- Think about doing this for a very long time
- Check out the refund policy fine print
This course has a great premise, but I do see a few red flags.
To be fair, here are 3 things I like about Devon’s program:
- Great Google Ads education
- Decent experience
- Reasonable refund policy
…and, in all fairness, here are 3 things I don’t really like:
- No SEO training
- Community access is expensive
- Hard to find real student reviews out there

“Neptune Design scam” shows up a lot when you look up Devon Thomas’ course.
…but does that mean he’s running a scam?
I don’t think so.
I don’t see a ton of scammer signs coming from Devon Thomas, and he has been doing this since 2017, so I think we would have known by now if he was completely ripping people off.
But you know what?
Just because something isn’t a scam doesn’t mean it’s the best option for you. I personally think that if you’re going to invest this kind of money in someone—and starting at 15 grand for done-for-you services is certainly a lot of money—then you should also learn the SEO side of things.
Personally, I gotta keep recommending Digital Leasing.
Who knows? Maybe a few of your clients even tell a few of their friends and your empire grows even bigger.
