Maps Liftoff, created by Brian Willie, is a training program that aims to help businesses optimize their Google My Business (GMB) profiles to snag a spot in the Google 3-Pack. While it does offer some solid training and resources, it’s very GMB-centric and tends to overlook other important local SEO strategies. With Google's algorithms changing faster than fashion trends, the methods can become outdated quickly. The lack of a refund policy and the scarcity of success stories from outside its own circle don’t exactly inspire confidence either.

Pros

  • Brian Willie is a seasoned SEO specialist, so you’ll be learning from someone who knows his stuff.
  • The program covers GMB optimization thoroughly, which means your business profile will be in top shape and could get more local visibility.
  • You get cool bonuses like geo-location training and keyword tools, giving you extra help to boost your SEO.

Cons

  • There’s no refund policy, so if you change your mind, you're out of luck.
  • It focuses a lot on GMB and skips over other important parts of local SEO, so your overall strategy might fall short.
  • Not many success stories from people outside the platform make it hard to tell if it really works in the real world.

TLDR: Is This The Best Google Maps SEO Program?

Is This The Best Google Maps SEO Program

Brian Willie’s Maps Liftoff is a Google My Business (or Google Business Profile if you’re fancy) program that teaches how to boost the visibility of businesses by improving their SEO through managing these profiles.

From what I can tell from their bare-bones funnel, Maps Liftoff is geared more towards businesses looking for GMB management services rather than individuals looking to learn the trade.

That’s not to say that you can’t learn. Brian is a well-known and respected guy in this space, having helped many businesses get seen online. For instance, he once helped a Texas law firm hit an 600% increase in revenue in just under two years. That’s impressive!

But it would be helpful to hear a story or two from past students and see how the program looks from this side of the classroom, figuratively speaking. Unfortunately, that’s not happening—there are pretty much no student reviews of the program, and the community behind it is almost dead.

Anyway, that’s not even why I don’t recommend this program. I’m more concerned about the business model itself rather than the program’s effectiveness.

In lead generation, diversification is everything. All existing lead generation methods are volatile, and it’s only a matter of time before something either tanks in performance or stops working altogether.

So what happens when you rely solely on GMB for your lead generation campaign? The same thing that happened to millions of businesses that went under because their competition just had things figured out better.

At the end of the day, Google My Business SEO works! It’s the reliance only on it that’s the problem.

Now you might be saying, “Well, I can take this program for GMB and do something else for other lead gen methods.”

Yes, you could do that, or you could get Digital Leasing and ditch the hassle of jumping from program to program.

DigitalLeasing teaches you GMB and the whole SEO bundle, in and out. It’s packed with training on:

  • Complete SEO
  • Google Ads
  • Meta Ads
  • Prospecting
  • Sales
  • Web Design

… and a lot more. So instead of throwing cash at Brian’s narrow program, gear yourself up for running ANY digital marketing business in one swing.

Sound like a plan? Here’s how you start with Digital Leasing.

ho Benefits from Maps Liftoff & Who Doesn’t

A business owner looking for leads or an entrepreneur ready to dive into lead generation? Knowing what you’re buying before you spend the money is important. Let’s see how Maps Liftoff might (or might not) fit your style.

This program might be for you if:

  1. You are a local business owner looking to boost visibility. The program focuses on Google My Business optimization, which can increase your local search visibility and bring more customers through your door.
  2. You have some experience with SEO. The training assumes you know the basics, so if you’re already familiar with SEO, you’ll get more out of the advanced GMB methods.
  3. You enjoy interactive learning. With live bi-weekly webinars, you can get your questions answered in real time and engage directly with the instructor.

This program might not be for you if:

  1. You don’t want to rely solely on Google. The program’s heavy focus on Google My Business makes you vulnerable to Google’s algorithm changes, which can disrupt your lead generation.
  2. You need a refund policy for peace of mind. Maps Liftoff doesn’t offer refunds, so if the program doesn’t meet your expectations, you won’t get your money back.
  3. You’re looking for community support. The program’s community is a bit lacking, which means you won’t have much interaction with other users and might feel lonely.

As you can see, It works well for some, but not everyone. Weigh the pros and cons, and consider alternatives if Maps Liftoff doesn’t quite do the trick for you.

What is Google My Business?

what's GMB

Google My Business (GMB) is a handy tool for managing your business’s online presence across Google, Search, Maps, and everything in between. It’s great for improving local visibility by letting you create profiles with important info like your address, phone number, and business hours.

Many love GMB because it drives local traffic and generates leads. But, like anything that sounds too good to be true, there are some downsides.

First off, relying only on GMB means putting all your eggs in one basket. Google’s algorithms change a lot, and what works today might not work tomorrow.

Even without Google breathing down your neck, issues like dealing with fake competitor listings, spammy reviews, and profile suspensions can throw you off easily.

GMB is helpful, but it’s risky to depend solely on it for your lead generation game. Depending on one platform, especially one controlled by Google, means playing with fire.

A smarter approach is to diversify your lead sources with a couple of methods so that you always have a backup if something goes wrong with one.

That’s what you get with Digital Leasing: multiple lead sources, assets that you own, and that sweet passive income. Go here to learn more.

How Much Does The Maps Liftoff Cost?

How Much Does The Maps Liftoff Cost

Maps Liftoff program pricing varies depending on how many listings you maintain. Here’s a breakdown of the available options and their costs:

  • 2-4 Listings: $399/month per listing: You get monthly grid tracking for your top 3 keywords, initial on-page optimization with 5 landing pages/articles, 8 Google Business Profile posts, one Geo Hub page, one Niche Hub page, video training on the SILO strategy, brand entity foundation setup, advanced citation setup, and ongoing Google Business Profile growth and optimization.
  • 5-9 Listings: $349/month per listing: Everything in the 2-4 listings package but at a reduced rate.
  • 10+ Listings: $249/month per listing: Full range of services at the lowest cost, with grid tracking, detailed on-page optimization, regular Google Business Profile updates, and continuous local SEO strategies.

All packages come with a guarantee to rank your top 3 keywords in the 3-Pack within 180 days, or they’ll keep working for free until they do.

Can You Get a Refund?

Maps Liftoff’s website is pretty bare-bones. Not only is there no refund policy, but there are also no disclaimers or additional information or policies, period. Proceed with caution, and don’t expect to get a refund once the transaction goes through.

I’ve also reviewed Talk Marketing Academy, where John McDougall offers a 12-month SEO mastery program, but beware of its strict no-refund policy and hidden costs.

Сheck out my Maps Mentor Unleashed review as well. It covers Paul James’ course on Google Maps rankings and local lead generation, though it may fall short for those seeking advanced strategies.

My Opinion: Any Reason To Worry About a Maps Liftoff Scam?

my opinion

So, is Maps Liftoff a scam? While it has faced some criticism online, I wouldn’t go that far. Brian Willie is a well-known name in SEO with a solid track record, so it’s clear that the program works for some people.

But is it right for you? That’s the real question, and the answer depends on what you already know about lead generation. Is this your first touch with it, or are you just looking for an addition?

GMB is important, but Google’s algorithms change like the weather, often causing more problems than they fix. Here are some issues to name a few:

  1. Disappearing Listings: You could wake up one day and find your business completely erased from Google Maps, along with years of hard-earned reviews. It’s like your business vanished into thin air, leaving you scrambling to fix it and putting your livelihood at risk.
  2. Fake Reviews: The platform is crawling with fake reviews, both good and bad. Competitors can bombard your profile with bogus negativity, trashing your reputation, and getting Google to take action is like pulling teeth.
  3. Spam Listings: Fake competitor listings often dominate Google search results. These listings can steal customers right from under your nose, and trying to clean them up is a tedious process that often doesn’t even work.
  4. Profile Suspensions: Google can suspend your profile for a bunch of reasons, sometimes seemingly without one. And good luck getting a real person on the line when you need to resolve the issue.

If you’re just looking for a complementary program that covers GMB and you already know the rest, then sure, go for it. But if not, then jumping from program to program and trying to learn it all piecemeal makes no sense.

Instead, your best bet is to opt for a program like Digital Leasing as an all-in-one solution.

Digital Leasing lets you build top-ranking websites and lease them out to local businesses. We’re talking $500 to $2000 a month for these businesses to have a sweet online presence, and you get paid for your work!

Brian Willie Reviews Bottom Line

Alright, should you grab Maps Liftoff? Honestly, after looking it up, I’m leaning towards no. There’s a lot of good stuff about Google My Business, but in the end, Maps Liftoff feels like a one-trick pony. Google’s algorithms are like the weather – always changing, so what works today might be useless tomorrow.

Also, learning something new is much easier when you have a community to bounce ideas off of, and Maps Liftoff doesn’t seem to offer that. Plus, I couldn’t find many success stories from people who used it, which makes the whole thing a shot in the dark.

Looking for something more stable with a proven track record? Digital Leasing might be a better fit.

With 3,000 students already rocking the digital leasing space and making five figures in semi-passive income, Digital Leasing is about steady results and a scalable business.
