Is This Really Going To Work?
Even putting all the troubles with affiliate marketing to one side – and trust me, there are a lot of them – I’m always skeptical of this kind of product.
The idea you can just buy a system in the same way you’d walk into a store and pick up some peanut butter… and then have that system change your life? The chances just don’t seem good.
Don’t get me wrong, I know about the potential of automation. I’ve seen the benefits that an automated system can provide. But to make it sound this easy… to make it sound like you’ll just receive a done-for-you set of processes and then start scoring business success.
I just don’t think it’s going to work for most people.
For me, I prefer something a little more grounded in reality…

Lots of people have tried this model, and lots of people have failed. If you’re that rare person who still believes in the best-case scenario for affiliate marketing, here are a few things to keep in mind.
- Commission rates are extremely low on email affiliate marketing… around 15% on average, and often much lower, so don’t expect to be making millions.
- Most affiliate marketers are unable to make the model work… around 95% fail!
- The average email open rate is only 36%, and often a great deal lower. You’re going to be working for a long time to get anything out of this business model… if you do manage to get anything out of it at all.

Is There A List Leverage Scam Going On Here?
It’s a fair question… is there a List Leverage scam, or is this whole thing legit?
‘Scam’ is a pretty heavy word, and I don’t think I’ve seen enough here to make me throw around that kind of accusation. Matthew is a pretty big deal in the world of affiliate marketing, and if he was ripping people off left, right and center, we’d know about it.
So no, I don’t think there’s a scam. However, this doesn’t necessarily mean everyone’s having a great experience with his program.
The upselling, the funneling you into an affiliate network that sells Traffic Authority products. Yeah, all this isn’t great. It’s not a scam, of course, but lots of people are going to feel a bit disappointed when they sign up for this.
My Personal Opinion On Matthew Neer And List Leverage
I’m not going to beat around the bush with this one… I don’t recommend it.
Matthew Neer himself has a great business journey, and I like that he’s giving his followers the chance to copy his own email and landing page wins.
But the big reveal is… I just don’t think this works for most people.
You’re still going to be grappling with the low commission rates, low conversions, and low income levels of the affiliate market. Once you factor in the low open rate of email marketing. Well… that’s a lot of lows.
Yeah, you might get a bit of information if you go all in and buy the webinars. But at the end of the day you’re still handing over command of your business to an automated system designed by someone else. An automated system that’s not guaranteed to work… at least not in the way you want it too.
So What’s The Alternative?
For me personally, I prefer something with real revenue potential…
