Jumpcut Academy is a collection of courses aimed at helping you run a successful YouTube channel, build a successful online business, and basically send your digital marketing game stratospheric.

It’s a bit like Masterclass or Udemy. You browse a selection of courses and you take your pick. It all looks very slick and well-presented, and the guests they’ve got on their Viral Academy Bootcamp course are seriously impressive.

Apparently these guys have over one million members, so there’s certainly going to be some success stories among the student community. Just like those YouTube videos where creators take millions of tries to make some crazy trick shot… something’s got to come off eventually.

But that’s not much good for students looking for a more reliable route to online business success. You can’t really teach things like creating viral videos or becoming a YouTube music/comedy sensation. It takes a solid knowledge of popular culture, an ability to game the social media algorithm, and a whole lot of luck to make these strategies work.

I prefer something a lot more reliable… like Digital Leasing.

For the YouTube side of things, you’re harnessing the latest trends in an effort to create viral videos. When a video goes viral, your brand exposure goes through the roof, and you can sell more products… that’s the dream anyway!

And automation… well this just means using templates, case studies and resources to build your business without the hassle. Once it’s up and running, automated systems help you ease your workload.

But remember… automation is not a quick fix. You’re still going to have your work cut out managing brand deals, coming up with winning ad campaigns, and keeping clients and customers happy. Automation is certainly very cool, but it’s not the solution to everything.

Who Are Jesse Jhaj and Kong Pham?

Along with Peter Lu, Jesse Jhaj and Kong Pham are the co-founders of the Jumpcut Academy. Kong is the CEO, Jesse is the CMO, and Peter is the COO.

This is the dynamic trio who helped to put Jumpcut on the map. Working with Liquid 2 Ventures, Maveron, Struck Capital, Y Combinator, and ZhenFund, they managed to achieve a huge amount of funding for their project. Once the whole thing took flight, they never looked back.

Now, you’d expect a bunch of viral video experts to have created a few viral sensations themselves. And they have. Kong and Jesse achieved some limited fame with their Simple Pickups YouTube content several years back. To be honest, this “nerd pickup artist” stuff is all a bit sketchy… so personally I’m glad they’ve changed their ways and started channeling their creativity into something a little more worthwhile.

Is There A Jumpcut Academy Scam Going On Here?

The “Jumpcut Academy scam” question has been a bit of a hot topic lately. It seems the some people who signed up for the program did find themselves the victims of a scam. Many of the reviews I read talked about receiving invoices for things they hadn’t paid for…

The Jumpcut team has been quick to respond to these accusations. It seems they were the targets of the scam themselves. Basically, someone was sending out fake invoices in an attempt to rip people off. Jumpcut has been quite clear that this has nothing to do with them.

So how about the actual courses themselves? Is Jumpcut legit in what it’s offering?

Well, some people don’t think so. I’ve seen a few other scam accusations… not talking about fake invoices but instead discussing digital products and YouTube training course content that just aren’t up to standard.

Other people, however, disagree. They say there’s good stuff here, and the online courses are worth the money.

So who do we believe? As is usually the case, I’d say the truth is somewhere down the middle. I don’t necessarily think these courses are going to change your life. But I do believe you’ll get the course content you pay for.

In other words… no scam. But don’t go expecting revolutionary results either.

My Personal Opinion On Jesse, Kong And Jumpcut Academy

Let me cut straight to the chase…

I like Jumpcut Academy. I think they have a load of fun stuff to offer… and if you want to make it in this world of video marketing, you definitely need to know how to up the fun factor.

But I’ve got a few big concerns here…

1. Being a YouTube influencer and video marketing is astonishingly unstable – It’s like setting up a lemonade stand on an active volcano. You might make a few dimes, but it could all blow up any minute.
2. A lot of peopler are saying you can get this information elsewhere – You don’t want to drop 500 big ones on a course, only to find free YouTube influencer content telling you exactly the same stuff.
3. Most people don’t actually succeed here – How many mega-rich YouTube entrepreneurs have you seen online? Maybe a few. How many have you met in real life? Probably not so many. This isn’t exactly a business model awash with success stories.

For these three reasons… I’ve got to say I’m out. You might gain some YouTube fans if you decide to join up, and you might even make a bit of money.

But for me, there are way better options for anyone looking to run an online business…

My Jumpcut Academy Review: What’s The Conclusion?

If this were a YouTube video, this is the part where I’d be telling you to like and subscribe…

But it’s not, so instead I’m just gonna bring this Jumpcut Academy review home with a quick conclusion.

Jumpcut is a lot of fun. Which is good, because viral videos should be fun. But fun doesn’t necessarily translate into financial freedom. Saying you want to make your fortune with viral YouTube content is a bit like saying you want to be a Marvel superhero when you grow up… neither of these things are very likely to happen.

So if you want to drop a few hundred bucks on courses that teach you about improv comedy and promoting your music on YouTube, then go for it… and why not? Those are excellent skills to learn and you’re gonna have a great time while you do it.

But if you’re looking to make money, break out of the 9-to-5, live your life the way you want to live it? Well then I’d recommend something quite different…
