If you’re anything like me, you’ve probably spent quite a bit of time on YouTube, checking out NBA highlight reels, video game playthroughs, and cool documentaries about things you barely even heard of before.

There’s a lot of good stuff on there… but a YouTube career? Is that even possible?

Well for Greg Kononenko and Alen Sehovic it is. They’ve created the Jet Video Academy to help people go from zero subscribers and videos getting no love, to passive, ongoing income and the chance to quit your job.

So, does the Jet Video Academy work? Is this going to happen for you, like it happened for them?

Maybe. The course seems pretty well-structured, and you won’t need to have spent three years at film school to get something out of it.

Seems fairly logical to me.

But there’s a great big elephant in the room… and he’s threatening to stomp all over this lovely YouTube tea party we’ve got going on here.

The lack of revenue.

Most YouTubers earn about $0.018 per view… so you’re getting $18 per 1,000 views. That’s not gonna go very far.

Bump those views up to a million, and now you’re getting $18,000 per video. Now we’re talking! But how easy is that to achieve?

Not very…

Check out these recent videos for ESPN’s NFL YouTube channel. This is a channel with subscriber numbers of more than 450k, and still we’re looking at 30k views here, 20k views there. That’s just a few hundred bucks.

I’d say this is a cool program, but it’s basically offering up 1,000 subscribers as some kind of grand prize at the end of the road. Even if you get 100% engagement, this is only going to net you around 18 bucks per post. And trust me… no one’s getting 100% engagement. Even ESPN are getting less than 6%!

If you’re looking to make good, reliable money, I recommend something very different indeed…

Is there a Jet Video Academy scam? It’s a fair question…

Honestly, I don’t think so.

Everything I’ve seen about this program seems fairly legit and above board. When you sign up, they’ll give you what they promised… improving your YouTube search performance, offering exact examples for strategies, helping you find channel art and create quality videos through neat video optimization techniques.

But this certainly doesn’t mean I recommend jumping on in. All the YouTube Shorts exact examples and free tools in the world can’t change the fact that YouTube is a horrible place to be.

Creators regularly complain that their hard work just doesn’t pay off because of YouTube’s massively harsh revenue split. So, while Jet Video Academy offers useful skills in YouTube niche research and valuable information on how to edit videos, you’re still struggling to make money at the end of the day.

My Personal Opinion On Greg Kononenko And The Jet Video Academy

Is Jet Video Academy worth your time, money, and effort?

It all comes down to what you want.

If you just love YouTube and creating and getting your content out there, then sure… Greg and Alen offer a neat and stress free way to do this.

There are probably other courses out there that focus more on the creative side of things, helping you create the best videos and engaging content. But you’re still going to learn a lot from these guys, and you might find it all worthwhile.

But if you’re looking for a reliable way to earn good money online, you might feel a bit disappointed. This isn’t Greg and Alen’s fault… they can help you discover what makes video evergreen, and help you with finding low competition keywords, but they can’t guarantee people are actually going to watch your videos.

Now, Greg and Alen’s channels have definitely done amazingly on YouTube. So I fully get why they would pitch this program as a business course, helping students to earn passive income and gain the same success they have.

Just keep in mind that most people who try to make money out of YouTube quickly find themselves struggling. It’s like the wild west out there, and it’s not getting any easier.

This is why I prefer something quite different… local lead generation and Digital Leasing…

So I think we’ve established that Greg and Alen are cool guys with lovely families. And their stories are nothing short of inspiring… “I can do this too!” kind of stories.

But the sad truth is that most people won’t do this too. It’s not because the course is bad, or because people don’t put out the right content.

It’s just a statistical certainty.

With billions of hours (and counting) of YouTube content already out there, the platform has gone from a cute little swimming hole to the Mississippi to the Atlantic Ocean over the last ten years. And there you’ll be, right in the middle, waving your arms and trying to get noticed.

No, it’s just not for me.

Instead… I recommend something way more reliable, infinitely more stable, and basically saturation-proof…
