TLDR: Right Business, Wrong Program
The Digital Storefronts program by Cory Long is a local lead generation course that leans heavily on principles “borrowed” from other programs that are “been there, done that” when it comes to this business model (more on that in a sec).
With it, Cory wants to teach you the rank and rent business model, which is a tried-and-true way to make money from local lead generation.
Now, Cory’s background as a pastor means he mixes in a dash of faith for good measure. I’m not sure how these two fit together, but it’s a bit like how every company nowadays tries to throw “AI” into their pitch. Can’t really blame him; when selling courses is your main gig, you pull out all the stops.
Now, before I get carried away by assumptions, let me say that Cory does know his stuff when it comes to local lead gen. His program covers both paid and free traffic sources, which is probably the best way to go about local lead generation.
But even so, I wouldn’t recommend buying it.
If this isn’t the first review you’ve read, you’ve probably heard the buzz about Cory allegedly ripping off another local lead gen program he was a student of.
Whether it’s the chicken or the egg, it makes me think Cory is just using someone else’s playbook and might not be able to keep up with changing business trends.
It’s like copying someone’s homework: sure, you might not get caught, but if the teacher asks for extra details, you’re stuck. I hope that’s not Cory’s case, but do you want to risk $5,000 to find out?
Instead, why not join a community of over 3,000 students who can vouch for a program that actually works and teaches you how to make $2,000-$10,000 of semi-passive income each month?
Digital Leasing combines decades of experience in local lead generation, countless tries and fails, and wraps it all up in comprehensive training backed by nine weekly workshops and two weekly coaching sessions.
So, instead of rolling the dice with Digital Storefronts, go for a full package that won’t let you down. Check out all the exciting details about Digital Leasing here.

Time Investment | 2 out of 5 stars | You’ll need to put in a lot of time before seeing a meaningful return. Setting up and ranking digital storefronts takes months, not days. |
Level Of Command | 4 out of 5 stars | You have good control over your business decisions, but you’re still dependent on third-party platforms like Google, which can change their algorithms. |
Ease Of Implementation | 3 out of 5 stars | Following the program is straightforward, but the learning curve is steep if you’re new to digital marketing. Expect to spend time mastering SEO and client acquisition. |
Profit Potential | 4 out of 5 stars | If everything goes as planned and you invest the time, there’s solid profit potential. However, the high initial costs can be a barrier for some. |
Who Benefits from The Digital Storefronts & Who Doesn’t
Before you spend your money on any program, it’s smart to see if it’s a good fit for you. Even the best programs aren’t everyone’s favorite, so this section will help you gauge if Cory’s program is right for you.
This program might be for you if:
- You’re just starting out: The program has a straightforward approach to local lead generation, which makes it easy for newbies to get started without feeling overwhelmed.
- You have a strong local network: If you already know local businesses, you can use these connections to find clients for your digital storefronts quickly.
- You’re looking for a faith-based business: Cory Long brings Christian values into his program. If you want a business model that fits your faith, this could be a good match.
This program might not be for you if:
- You’re on a tight budget: The upfront costs are high, and you’ll need extra money for advertising and other expenses, which can add up fast.
- You expect quick results: Success with this program takes time and due diligence. If you’re in for quick, easy money, this isn’t it.
- You’re concerned about ethics: Given Cory Long’s sketchy past and issues with his mentor, you might question the program’s integrity, which can be a deal-breaker for many.
There you go! Nice and straightforward. If you relate more to the first group, then Digital Storefronts might just click. If not, don’t worry. I’ll be showing you some better alternatives later in the article.

Program 1,000 FT View: Cory Long Reviews, Digital Storefront Cost & More
Let’s break down the Digital Storefronts program and look at its core components. I’ll cover who Cory Long is, what local lead generation involves, the program’s costs, and whether you can get a refund.
Here’s the overview:
- Who Is Cory Long?
- What is Local Lead Generation?
- How Much Do Digital Storefronts Cost?
- Can You Get a Refund?
Ready? Let’s start with…
Who Is Cory Long?
Cory Long first popped onto the scene through the Job Killing program created by Dan Klein. Things got a bit rocky for Cory when he was kicked out of the program for allegedly breaking a key rule about not selling his own products to other members.
After that incident, Cory launched his own program, Digital Storefronts. This program aims to teach people how to create and rent out digital storefronts to local businesses.
Having been a pastor, Cory combined his digital marketing chops with religion, adding a touch of spirituality to his coaching. Why? Only God knows (maybe), but it’s probably to cash in on others’ beliefs.
His program teaches the rank-and-rent business model. This means you create niche websites that rank high in local search results and then rent them out to local businesses for a monthly fee—probably the best way to earn passive income.
While reviews are mixed, Cory has built a following and keeps promoting his program online. As with most gurus, it’s the ups and downs that brought him to where he is today.

What is Local Lead Generation?
Local lead generation is a digital marketing strategy aimed at helping local business owners attract customers within a specific geographic area.
Unlike broad lead generation, which targets a wide, often global audience, local lead generation zeroes in on connecting businesses with nearby customers who are actively searching for their services.
The main idea is to create online assets like websites or ads optimized for local search terms to rank highly in search engine results for specific locales.
But what’s so good about it?
- Targeted Audience: With local lead gen, you get to focus on nearby customers, giving you a better chance of making conversions while cutting down on ad spend.
- Higher ROI: By focusing on a specific area, you use resources more efficiently, which in turn brings better returns than broader campaigns.
- Improved Local SEO: Optimizing your content and business listings for local searches boosts their visibility, driving more relevant traffic to their doorstep, which is exactly what they’re paying for.
Local lead generation is great, but there’s a right and a wrong way to do it.
If you like what you’re seeing but can’t trust Cory Long, check out Digital Leasing. Seriously, 3,000 other students can’t be wrong.
How Much Do Digital Storefronts Cost?
The main course alone costs over $5,000, and for that money, you get access to the core training modules, weekly group support, and the tenant attraction system.
But that’s not all—you’ll also need to budget for additional advertising costs and software subscriptions. These expenses can add up, so make sure you plan your budget carefully if you decide to buy it.
Can You Get a Refund?
Nope. Loud and clear, Cory’s refund policy states that there are no refunds.
If he’s not confident I won’t need to ask for a refund, then neither am I.
My Opinion: Is There A Digital Storefront Scam Going On?
While I was researching this program, two things stood out that didn’t really make sense. Digital Storefronts is pitched as a Christian devout program for those who love their faith but also want to make money. On the other hand, Cory got kicked out of the program, where he learned everything for breaking the simple rule of not pushing products to the program community.
I was brought up to believe that religion is about being humble and modest, where little is needed for happiness. Cory doesn’t seem to follow that idea. He’s not the first or the last to cash in on faith, and I get it—bills have to be paid—but this kind of greed makes me trust the guy less.
My skepticism about Cory’s program isn’t just about its pitch. I’m more concerned with how it’s created. If the buzz is true that he ripped off an existing rank-and-rent program for pretty much all his ideas, then Cory can’t bring anything new to the table. He got kicked out, and all the info after that is just his thumb-in-the-air way of gauging things. That doesn’t exactly build confidence.
I know many of you have come here to get the answer to the burning question: Is there a Digital Storefronts scam? While I can’t say it’s 100% transparent, I don’t think it is. Among the negative feedback, there are a few success stories that seem genuine enough to assume you can make money with Digital Storefronts.
But making money and building a long-lasting business are two different things. Making some cash doesn’t build a business.
I’ve made some cash selling fidget spinners—never ended up stacking a warehouse.
So, if you’re building a business, do it by following methods that rely on decades of personal experience, tried-and-tested strategies, and keeping up with modern trends.
With Digital Leasing, you get access to a program backed by countless success stories and more on the way.
You get what Cory’s offering plus:
- Complete digital marketing training you can apply to any business
- 9 workshops per week
- 2 weekly coaching sessions

Conclusion: Any Better Local Lead Generation Training
So, what’s my final take? Yay or nay?
Cory Long’s program might teach you how to rank websites for local lead gen, but the high price tag and lack of concrete success stories scream caution. With its shaky mentorship and minimal community support, I’d advise you to stay away from Digital Storefronts altogether.
Any alternatives? Glad you asked! Keep reading for a more reliable path to passive income backed by decades of experience and a proven success record.
I also have reviews on two other courses.
My Laptop Lifestyle Master Program review highlights Jet Van Wijk’s coaching program for becoming a high-ticket digital marketing freelancer, with some concerns like the lack of a refund policy and the challenges of freelancing.
Additionally, see my List Leverage reviews, where I cover a done-for-you system with minimal learning and community engagement, offering optional webinars at an extra cost.
#1 Way To Make Money Online In 2024 (Google Maps Gold Alternative)
As you’ve seen, Digital Storefronts can work for some, but why limit yourself to a program that seems to be a rip-off with a questionable success rate?
Here are three main reasons Digital Leasing can give you an edge over Digital Storefronts:
1. Battle-Tested & Evolving:
Digital Leasing is the real deal—decades of experience packed into the training constantly tweaked to keep things fresh. You’re never learning yesterday’s news.
Cory’s “Digital Storefronts” borrows concepts from other programs.
What happens when the whole online game changes or third-party platforms update their rules? You could be stuck with outdated tactics. Not exactly getting your money’s worth, right?
2. Real Results:
Digital Leasing has a massive community! Over 3,000 people ready to answer your questions, share ideas, and maybe even team up on projects. That’s a pretty sweet bonus!
Digital Storefronts barely has anyone talking about it, and it seems like Cory Long would rather keep it that way. Why? Well, you know…
3. Profit Potential and Revenue Stream
Here’s where Digital Leasing shines:
- Build a High-Ranking Website: Create a website that attracts Google’s attention and ranks well in search results.
- Rent it Out to Hungry Businesses: Local businesses are always looking for more customers. Lease your website to them, turning it into a steady stream of income.
- Repeat, Repeat, Repeat! Once you’ve got the hang of it, you can build and rent out more websites for even more profit!
It’s like having your own online rental empire but way cooler (and way less maintenance) than managing an actual apartment building.
Digital Storefronts sounds interesting, but it seems like you’re at the mercy of other things happening online. Not ideal.
Digital Leasing gives you the reins! More control, less risk, and the potential to rake in way more cash. Sounds pretty sweet, right?
Seriously, why learn one thing when you can be a master of all?
Digital Leasing isn’t just about one piece of the puzzle; it’s the whole lead generation game wrapped into one. Think of it as your one-stop shop for success.
